Biography

I completed a BSc in Biological Sciences and a BA in Political Science at the University of Missouri - Columbia in May 2005 and completed in September 2006 an MRes in Environmental Biology from the University of St. Andrews.

My field work has included sea grass studies in southern Australia (2003) and marine mammal distribution and behavioral studies in the Gulf of Maine(2004). As well I am an advanced open water SCUBA diver and certified First Responder.

My project aims to develop simulation evaluations of alternative management regimes for shrimp fisheries in the Gulf of Mexico. My research is fundedby the US NGO, Environmental Defense.
